Wawer, a district of Warsaw has entered the “Nivea 100” competition to win a new playground for their community! “Nivea” will be building 100 new playgrounds all throughout Poland; to win, all we have to do is vote online once per day until October 31st! Anyone, from anywhere can vote, you don’t have to be Polish! PCSAW is co-partnering with volunteers from Wawer to make this wish come true for their community. Why? PCSAW believes in grass-roots organizing to better the lives of all members of a community, therefore we have decided, as an organization, to propagate this contest and ask all of our affiliates to kindly consider signing up and voting on the following website: http://100latnivea.pl/glosowanie/rejestracja. We thank you in advance!

The Polish Canadian Students’ Association of Windsor is a fairly new organization in the Windsor area, having been established on November 15th 2008. This new, diverse youth group currently consists of an executive board of high school, college, and university students. We also are in close cooperation with Professor Frank Simpson, of the University of Windsor and Jerry Barycki, Vice-President of the Canadian Polish Congress for Polish Affairs.

Our initiatives are city and region based, however centered on emphasizing and sustaining Polish culture. We are a group of strong and willing individuals between the ages of 16 and 30 who are eager to acquire leadership skills whilst encouraging youth involvement, starting in our Polish-Canadian community in Windsor, Ontario.
